Summary:

FGCU wraps up their regular season vs a FSU team that has wins over #7 Notre Dame (2), and the University of Florida. FSU is led offensively by 5’11 R-SO C Matheu Nelson who has hit 20 home runs this year for the Noles, which is 1st overall in the NCAA. The ace of the pitching staff is 6’0 R-FR Parker Messick, who boasts almost a 5:1 K:BB ratio with 99 K/21 BB overall. FSU is led by Head Coach Mike Martin Jr, who is in his 2nd season leading the Seminoles. He had been an assistant head coach for 22 seasons before his promotion to Head Coach.

FGCU knows they will face #4 seed Jacksonville University, in the ASUN Quarterfinals in the future as the #1 seed, but has a huge opportunity vs a top 25 ranked FSU team. Playing well in this series vs the Noles, would help the Eagles enter the ASUN Tournament on a high note.

Prediction:

FGCU splits the 2 game series with the Seminoles.
