Overview:

It was a weekend that started out really bad for FGCU, losing the first two games of the series, against a terrible FAMU team recordwise. The Eagles fought back, to take the 2nd game of the doubleheader, and also the getaway game Sunday afternoon. There are no freebies now that ASUN Conference play is about to start so the Eagles will have to shake this series off and get ready for the Hatters.

Brian Ellis had another great series for FGCU, and carried the offense all weekend. Ellis, Garcia, and Kinker are mashing at the top of the order right now for the Eagles. Mason Miller was strong in relief earning the win in game 4 for the Eagles, pitching 7 strong innings.

What’s Next:

FGCU heads to Deland to open ASUN Conference play, vs Stetson University (13-7), for a three game series starting Friday night.
