Overview:
FGCU fell victim to the big inning Wednesday night vs #5 Miami. Gus Carter (0-1) had been cruising with 7 K’s through 4 IP, until the 5th inning, where #5 Miami put up 7 runs, including a Gabe Rivera grand slam. #5 Miami was the better team Wednesday night, but the Eagles get another crack at the Hurricanes, April 21st on the road.
Stephen Wilmer and Jacob Lojewski, both had RBI’s for the Eagles in the game. Jake Garland (2-1) pitched brilliantly for the Hurricanes, pitching 7 strong innings, only allowing one ER, 5 hits, while striking out 2 Eagles and walking one.

FGCU heads on the road to face FAMU (3-14) for a 4 game series starting March 19th.
