#4 LIPSCOMB/#1 FGCU ASUN SEMIFINALS PREVIEW

Kennesaw, GA- #1 seed and #24/#21 FGCU faces #4 seed Lipscomb University, Friday afternoon, from the KSU Convocation Center at 2 PM.

Lipscomb University Stats (Regular Season):

The Bisons averaged 64.5 ppg, shoot 39% from the field, and 30% from beyond the arc. Lipscomb averaged 37.9 team rebounds per game. The Bisons dishes out 12.3 assists, 5.6 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game. The Bisons averaged 15.6 team turnovers per game.

Overview:

#4 seed Lipscomb beat #5 seed Stetson 50-47 in overtime, in the ASUN Quarterfinals. The Bisons were led by Dorie Harrison, who scored 18 pts in the game. Lipscomb lost both games to the Eagles in the regular season, when the two teams faced off on January 23rd (102-49), and January 24th (92-48). Both games were blowouts, but expect a closer game Friday afternoon in Kennesaw.

Taylor Clark and Dorie Harrison make up the frontcourt for the Bisons, and are the top two leading scorers for the team. Casey Collier is the true point guard and runs their offense. Lipscomb is led by Head Coach Lauren Sumski.

FGGU will rely on Kierstan Bell, TK Morehouse, and Tyra Cox in the back court, and these three guards went off Thursday afternoon vs Jacksonville University, each scoring 20+ points.

FGCU advances to the ASUN Championship game to meet the winner of #2 Liberty University/#3 UNF at 2 PM on Sunday afternoon from the KSU Convocation Center.
