Overview:
FGCU has done it all this season and as they close in on another ASUN regular season championship, they have four games left vs the #2 (Liberty) and #3 (UNF) teams, in the ASUN Conference. Anytime you play UNF, trying to defend Jazz Bond is always a handful due to her athleticism and height at 6’4. She is a great scorer and always gives Coach Smekso and company fits. Kierstan Bell and TK Morehouse look to continue their strong campaign in their first season playing together, and build off each other, as one of the top tandems in the country.
We did see that FGCU will host Liberty University (15-5, 10-2 ASUN) March 5th and 6th, which should decide the ASUN regular season Championship and #1 seed as we head into the ASUN Tournament. The Eagles with a win in the first game would be crowned the ASUN regular season champions! Either way, both teams will most likely face-off in the ASUN Championship game.
Prediction:
FGCU 91 UNF 71
FGCU 85 UNF 74
