Overview:

What a weekend for the Eagles! All three games were competitive and were for both teams for the taking. The Eagles were led by a strong start by their ace, Mason Studstill, to start the season, as he went 6 innings, allowing no earned runs, while striking out 6 batters, and only walking 2 Bulls. The offense began flowing in Games 2 and 3, as the Eagles combined for 23 runs.

Richie Garcia became the 15th Eagle to reach 200th hits as an Eagle in the series, which is quite the accomplishment! It’s great seeing so many of the Seniors back out on the field, and also producing too. In Game 3, the Eagles fought back from being down 7-0, with an 8 run bottom of the 4th. Of course, USF would tie the game back up in the top of the 5th, but the Eagles remained resilient, taking the lead for good in the bottom of the 6th, while also tacking on runs in the 7th and 8th innings, which were needed when USF scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th.
