Deland, FL- FGCU (12-2, 5-0 ASUN) overcame a tough test vs Stetson University (4-6, 3-4 ASUN), winning their 11th game in a row, 72-55.


FGCU shot 35.8% (24/67) from the field, 36% (18/50) from beyond the arc, and outrebounded Stetson 38-33. The Eagles dished out 18 assists, had 11 steals, and 2 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 18 Hatters turnovers and had 13 team turnovers of their own.


FGCU won their 16th road game in a row, but was tested by Stetson, and Kierstan Bell set another FGCU record, attempting the most 3 pointers (19), breaking the previous record of 16.

Kierstan Bell paced the Eagles with 28 pts, and Tyra Cox had another strong game, finishing with another double double (11 pts, 10 reb).

Jamiya Turner led the Hatters finishing with 16 pts and Yazz Wazeerud-Din was right behind her with 15 pts.
