Nashville, TN- FGCU (6-5. 1-3 ASUN) lost 71-56 to Lipscomb University (10-9, 5-3 ASUN) Saturday night, at Allen Arena.

FGCU shot 32.9% (24/73) from the field, 15.2% (5/33) from beyond the arc, and were outrebounded 42-38 by Lipscomb. The Eagles dished out 6 assists, had 4 steals, and 3 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 14 Lipscomb turnovers and had 11 team turnovers of their own.
Overview:
A cold shooting night doomed FGGU tonight. The Eagles really couldn’t get much going from beyond the arc and that doomed them tonight. The Eagles only shot 15% from beyond the arc while Lipscomb shot 40%. FGCU was led by Cyrus Largie who had another huge game for the Eagles finishing with 22 pts. Caleb Catto also contributed 15 pts in the game.
Lipscomb was led by Parker Hazen who had a career high 22 pts. Romaeo Ferguson also had another strong night scoring 15 pts. Freshman Will Pruitt had a career high 9 pts, scoring some huge baskets in crunch time for the Bisons. The Eagles held Ahsan Asadullah to 7 pts, 9 reb but ended up splitting the back to back games with Lipscomb.
