Louisville, KY- FGCU (8-2, 1-0 ASUN) showed little rust, taking care of business, vs Bellarmine University (0-8, 0-3 ASUN) winning 81-58, Saturday afternoon from Freedom Hall.
Stats:
FGCU shot 43 8% (28/64) from the field, 34.2% (13/38) from beyond the arc and were outrebounded 42-35 by Bellarmine. The Eagles dished out 20 assists, had 13 steals, and 4 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 19 Knights turnovers while having 10 team turnovers of their own.
Overview:
FGCU took it to Bellarmine Saturday afternoon and were able to show no rust after the two week COVID-19 layoff. TK Morehouse had another incredible game, finishing with 25 pts, and Kierstan Bell showed why she is one of the best players in the nation, finishing with another double double (16 pts, 10 reb). Tyra Cox (12 pts) and Aaliyah Stanley (11 pts) also finished in double figures for the Eagles. The largest lead for FGCU in the game was 26 pts.
Bellarmine was led by Lauren Deel who finished with 19 pts and Ashlee Harris who finished with 11 pts respectfully.
