Fort Myers, FL- FGCU (5-2, 0-0 ASUN) begins ASUN Conference play vs Bellarmine University (3-5, 0-2 ASUN) for back to back games, beginning Friday night.


Bellarmine averages 73.3 points per game, shoot 50.8% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc. The Knights average 31.6 rebounds per game. BU dishes out 16.5 assists, 6.6 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game. Bellarmine averages 11.0 team turnovers per game.


The Knights head into this weekend after losing both games to Lipscomb at home, in the first ASUN Conference games ever played at Freedom Hall.

Bellarmine was in both games only losing 77-72 Friday and 65-58 Saturday. Ahsan Asadullah only averaged 13.0 ppg in the two games, and was held to 7 pts in Friday’s game. Head Coach Scott Davenport will have this team hungry headed into this weekend.

The Knights are led in scoring by 6’7 JR G Pedro Bradshaw (14.3 ppg), 6’3 JR G Dylan Penn (12.9 ppg), and 6’0 SR G CJ Fleming (10.0 ppg).

FGCU hasn’t played since they beat Georgia Southern 73-60 on 12/22, due to COVID-19 shutting down the program for two weeks.
