Fort Myers,FL- FGCU (8-7) swept St Joseph’s University (5-8) and won their 4th game in a row this weekend.

Game 1: (FGCU 4 SJU 3)

Mason Studstill (3-0) pitched a gem for the Eagles lasting 6 innings, allowing 2 ER, and striking out 11 batters while walking only 3.

Offensively, the Eagles were led by Cameron Krzeminski who had 3 hits and 2 RBI’s and Elijah Eusebio who had an RBI double in the game. Hunter McGary shut the door for FGCU earning his 2nd save of the season.

Game 2: (FGCU 7 SJU 5)

This was a game where FGCU showed heart in coming back from down 4 runs in the game and rallying for score 6 runs in the 7th inning leading to the victory.

Joey Mugavero (1-2) earned the victory pitching 4 innings in relief of Nikolas Bitner who started the game for the Eagles.

Offensively, FGCU was led by Marc Coffers, Brian Ellis, and Brandon Dorsey who each had 2 RBI’s in the game. Dorsey’s RBI’s came from his 1st home run of the season as part of the 7th inning rally. Gus Carter earned his 1st save of the season.

Game 3: (FGCU 11 SJU 9)

FGCU jumped out in front 6-0 in the 2nd inning of this game but SJU rallied to come within 1 run after a 4 run top of the 8th. The Eagles added on an insurance run in the bottom of the 8th, with Jalen Townsend scoring on a wild pitch. Tyler Shuck (1-2) earned the victory in relief of Ronaldo Gallo and Hunter McGarry earned his 3rd save of the season en route to the 3 game sweep.

What’s Next:

FGCU remains at home to face Georgetown University (4-11) Tuesday night at 6:30 PM.
