Fort Myers,FL- #1 seed and #24 ranked FGCU, dominated #8 Lipscomb from the tip off and advanced to the ASUN semifinals beating the Bisons, 105-71.
Overview:
FGCU dominated Lipscomb so badly to the point they had a 35-4 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. The Eagles looked like a team on a mission to get back to the NCAA Tournament and make some noise and they continued their success at Alico Arena. The Eagles took a 65-22 lead into half and it was in cruise control after that.
FGCU was able to rest their starters and play 13 players in the game with the blowout victory. Davion Wingate scored 38 points in 24 minutes of action and the Bisons had no answer for her. She shot 13/16 from the field and 6/7 from beyond the arc. Lipscomb was led by ASUN Freshman of the Year, Jalyn Holcomb, who scored 15 pts.

FGCU shot 48% from the field (36/75), 43% from beyond the arc (16/37), and outrebounded the Bisons 45-30. The Eagles dished out 19 assists and defensively had 12 steals and 2 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 17 Lipscomb turnovers and had 8 team turnovers of their own.
