Fort Myers,FL- FGCU (28-3, 15-1) bounced back after losing to UNA this weekend to beat Jacksonville University (18-11, 10-6) on Senior Night, 77-64.

Overview:

What a game for the Eagles tonight on Senior Night from Alico Arena. FGCU had four players in double figures. Tytionia Adderly (19 pts, 14 rebounds) had another double double and the Dolphins had no answer for her in the post. Ashli O’Neal (17 points), Kerstie Phills (12 pts), and Davion Wingate (12 pts) also finished in double figures for FGCU. The key to the Eagles winning this game was defensively being able to lure the Dolphins into 25 team turnovers. The suffocating Eagles defense is exactly what the doctor ordered and was the X factor in another huge Eagles victory.

JU was led by R-SO Erin Wilson who had a double double scoring 18 points, and grabbing 10 rebounds vs FGCU.

Stats:

FGCU shot 39% from the field (24/61), 37% from beyond the arc (13/35), and were outrebounded by the Dolphins 41-30. The Eagles dished out 18 assists and defensively had 16 steals and 1 block in the game. FGCU forced 25 JU turnovers and had 11 team turnovers of their own in the game.
