EMU/FGCU RECAP

Fort Myers, FL- FGCU (2-6) came back to walk-off on a walk-off walk with the bases loaded Tuesday night vs Eastern Michigan (1-6) at Swanson Stadium.

Overview:

It was another game where FGCU was down late but this time they found a way to win. FGCU was able to tie the game up at 2 in the bottom of the 8th on a Joe Kinker sac fly after EMU went up 2-1 in the 6th inning courtesy of Christian Bault who had both RBI’s in the game for the Eagles (EMU). Kinker also hit a home run in the 2nd inning that still hasn’t landed in right field! The rally in the 9th was all about patience and Kameron Krzeminski took a walk with the bases loaded to win the game for FGCU.

Ronaldo Gallo started the game for FGCU and lasted 4 1/3 innings in the game allowing two hits, 1 ER, striking out 4 and walking only 1. Hunter McGarry (1-0) pitched 2 1/3 innings of scoreless and hitless baseball striking out 1 and got the win for FGCU, Tuesday night. Thomas House started for EMU and lasted 4 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 ER, striking out 4 and walking 1 batter. Justin Reinkall (0-2) took the loss for EMU coming into the game in the 9th inning walking 3 batters which led to the game winning run for FGCU.
