UNF/#24 FGCU RECAP

Fort Myers, FL- #24 FGCU (23-2, 10-0) won their 12th game in a row Saturday afternoon, 76-65 vs UNF (13-10, 6-4).

Overview:

FGCU played another close game with a UNF team that is really playing some great basketball lately. UNF was a really physical team and had won 6 out of 7 games leading into the game at Alico Arena.

The Eagles were led by Nasrin Ulel who finished with 33 points and Keri Jewett-Giles who once again eclipsed 20+ points finishing with 23 pts. Tytionia Adderly broke an FGCU record finishing with 19 rebounds in the game. She had previously tied the record at 18 rebounds which was set by former FGCU player and associate head Coach Chelsea Lyles.

UNF was led by Adrienne Jackson (23 pts, 9 rebounds) and Janesha Green (20 pts).

This game was a 2 point advantage for the Eagles at the half and FGCU was able to explode for 42 2nd half points to close out the game.

Stats:

FGCU shot 49% from the field (27/55), 40% from beyond the arc (10/25), and both teams finished with 34 team rebounds. The Eagles dishes out 9 assists, and on the defensive end of the ball had 4 steals and 3 blocks. FGCU forced 14 Ospreys team turnovers and had 15 team turnovers in the game.
