FGCU/LIBERTY RECAP

Lynchburg, VA- FGCU (7-17, 4-5) was dominated by Liberty University (21-3, 7-2) 61-46, Saturday night from the Vines Center.

Liberty forced 12 FGCU turnovers in the first half of this game and that was one of the many reasons the Eagles struggled so much in the game. Liberty’s defense completely shut FGCU down and this was another game where the players could not get in sync with each other on the court. The Eagles shot 0% from beyond the arc in the first half of this game.

Jalen Warren had another huge game scoring 20 pts in 25 minutes, while Zach Scott scored 10 pts in 38 minutes and it looks as if Coach Fly has finally decided to put Scott back in the starting lineup over Sam Gagliardi.

Stats:

FGCU shot 40% from the field (18/45), 21.1% beyond the arc (4/19), and both teams had 24 rebounds in the game. The Eagles dished out 3 assists and on the defensive side of the ball had 7 steals and 1 block. FGCU had 16 total team turnovers and forced 12 Flames turnovers.

Jalen Warren 20 pts

Zach Scott 10 pts, 8 rebounds

Outstanding Players (LU):
