Fort Myers, FL- FGCU (20-2, 7-0) won their 9th game in a row Saturday afternoon at Alico Arena 82-39 against NJIT (3-16, 0-6).
Overview:
FGCU did what was expected to a team that had no business being on the court with them. The Eagles led 32-12 at halftime and then exploded for 50 2nd half points. It’s amazing to see this team rise to the occasion every game and how special this team truly is. The Eagles were able to see 13 players receive minutes too afternoon too which only helps as the Eagles get closer in securing the #1 seed for the ASUN Tournament.

FGCU shot 50.9% from the field (29/57), 30.6% from beyond the arc (11/36), but were outrebounded 27-25 by NJIT. The Eagles dished out 18 assists, and on the defensive end of the ball had 15 steals, 2 blocks and forced 27 Highlander turnovers in this game. FGCU had only 9 team turnovers of their own.
