Fort Myers,FL- FGCU (3-13, ASUN 0-1) is coming off a 59-46 loss to Liberty in their ASUN home opener and face Lipscomb University (6-8, ASUN 1-0) Saturday night at 7 PM from Alico Arena. Lipscomb defeated Stetson on the road Thursday night 66-63.
Outlook:
Head Coach Lennie Acuff is in his 1st season leading the Bisons and replaced Casey Alexander who left the program to replace Rick Byrd at Belmont University.
The Bisons average 71.2 points per game, shoot 44% from the field, 32% from the 3 point line, and average 34.9 rebounds per game. On the defensive side of the ball, Lipscomb averages 5.7 steals per game and 2.8 blocks per game. As a team they average 14.1 team turnovers.
Lipscomb has struggled against NCAA D1 opponents with a 4-8 record but have faced tough competition with their last two games being on the road vs Vermont and Auburn before their opening ASUN win over Stetson University Thursday night.
